Sulphur Candle

Contains sulphur.MAFF No 02039.Old fashioned but very effective method of fumigating greenhouses.Kills spores on exposed surfaces and in nooks and crannies where pesta hide and spray cannot reach.Best used at the end of the season or in spring before propagating commences.

Fumigates and kills pests and fungal spores on exposed greenhouse surfaces. Treats a standard 3m x 2m greenhouse.

Directions for use: Remove all plants (with the exception of dormant peach trees and vines) before fumigating. Ensure that all doors, windows and vents are firmly closed. Place the Growing Success Sulphur Candle on a brick or in a metal container in the middle of the greenhouse and light the yellow paper wick. The sulphur around the wick will melt and burn with a very pale blue almost invisible flame. Leave the greenhouse completely closed and sealed. After a period of 12 hours open the greenhouse and ventilate to remove fumes.

Caution: Remove all plants with the exception of dormant peach trees and vines before fumigating. Certain coloured items e. g. floor coverings and fabrics may be discoloured by the fumigation process. Remove highly polished metal articles as they may be tarnished by the fumes. Aluminium greenhouses are normally protected by a layer of oxidation.

Treatment rate: One 300gm candle is sufficient to fumigate 18 cubic metres (3m x 2m greenhouse).
