1. Explore the site to locate runs, burrows, droppings and signs of damage.

2. Baiting: Always place and protect bait so that it is inaccessible to children, animals and birds.

RATS place up to 200g at each bait point, up to 10m apart.

• MICE place up to 30g at each bait point, 1-2m apart.

3. Place a good number of bait points in dry locations on runways, in burrows and where droppings are seen, and spread throughout the infested areas.

4. Inspect baits frequently, especially for the first 10 days, and replace where taken.

5. If a bait point is completely consumed, the quantity should be increased. Continue replenishing baits until they are left untouched.

Tips for more effective control: Use many bait points, wherever droppings, damage or other signs of activity are seen. Protect and cover bait. For example, place indoor baits behind or under cupboards, protect outdoor baits by using, for example, open-ended boxes, drainpipes, or sheets of metal or wood, secured at an angle against a wall.

What to expect: Two or more feeds are required to kill rodents. Death will occur 4-10 days afterwards. Most rodents die in their burrows out of sight.
