Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear (IP) is a colourless general-purpose preserver for interior or exterior use. It gives deep penetrating protection to sound wood against decay, mould and blue-staining fungi. This low odour formula has been specially developed with low aromatic solvents to make it more pleasant and convenient to use. Use on wood and joinery such as window frames, doors, etc. before painting, staining or varnishing. Use pre-treated timber if timber is in ground contact. Small timbers, roof trusses, horticultural timbers: Apply 2 - 3 uniform coats by brush (1 litre per 6 - 7.5 sq. metre) or spray (1 litre per 4 - 6 sq. metre). Dip end grains for 3 minutes. Outdoor timbers not in ground contact: Dip for at least 3 minutes if practical or brush or spray 2-3 uniform coats - Minimum 1 litre per 4 sq. metres (total). Rough sawn timber will absorb up to twice as much as planed wood.
