John Innes Ericaceous Compost

Made from the traditional John Innes recipe of sterilised loam, peat and horticultural grit with added nutrients. It is rich in iron to prevent leaf chlorosis, providing the correct pH balance for acid-loving plants such as Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Camellias. This compost takes the drainage and aeration benefits of peat and adds the water retention features of John Innes (soil based compost), promoting well balanced growth. The addition of John Innes gives plants a heavy weight base making it the perfect choice for tall, top-heavy plants. The compost contains a balanced fertiliser complete with trace elements and has a pH of 4.5-5.5 Size 30 Litres
