The 'Spork' is manufactured using the principles of a conventional stainless steel fork with specially engineered narrow blades with a sharpened profile, producing a tool that satisfies the action of both spade and fork. It cuts,slices and 'riddles' without becoming heavily clogged in unfriendly soils. The Spork is well balanced, lightweight and ergonomically efficient. Effective in most soil types, the cutting plate has only 20% of the surface area of a conventional spade which removes most of the surface tension when cutting into heavy soil. Two versions are available - the 'Digging' Spork and the smaller 'Border' Spork. Both have reinforced polypropylene shafts which moulded in a stylish matt black finish and feature a shock absorber between the shaft and neck of the tool which cuts down on sudden jarring whilst digging.
