Ericaceous Fertilizer

A recent introduction to our retail range this soluble fertilizer has many features specially suited to ericaceous plants. It has a good balanced N.P.K. formula, high chelated trace element content and a special acidifying agent which helps keep soil pH down and combats lime in hard water areas allowing tap water to be used. 750g packs

Garden Direct Ericaceous Fertilizer is a multifunctional product providing essential trace elements unavailable in high pH soils and an acidifier to low soil pH, thereby releasing further natural trace elements.  The unique lime-neutralising formula combats limey water eliminating the need to use soft water.  Plants show strong growth and good foliage.  Use anywhere outdoors, greenhouse or patio containers.

For all ericaceous and lime hating plants such as Rhododendron, Kalmia, Ferns, Spruce, Azaleas, Lilium, Vaccinium, Juniper, Ericas, Protea, Lily of the Valley, Liquidamber, Camelia, Magnolia, Pieris, Autumn Gentian, Crinodendron, Daboecia, Skimmia, Pernettya, Phyllodoce, Hydrangea, Larch, Pine, Cryptomeria, Witch Hazel, Cornus, Fothergilla, Desfontainea, Corylopsis.

Directions for Use:  Normal Strength – using the free measure, dissolve 2 level spoonsful of crystals in 5 litres of water.  Apply to the root area thoroughly moistening the soil.  Repeat every 10/14 days during the growing season.

Double Strength - For plants showing extreme signs of chlorosis (yellowing), use double strenth to 5 litres of water, repeating every 2 weeks until the signs of chlorosis are cleared.

Hard water areas – use of hard water continues to add lime to the soil, eventually preventing the growth of ericaceous plants.  Garden Direct  Ericaceous Fertilizer acidifying characteristics neutralises lime, improving growth.
