Description

Quick acting and readily available form of nitrogen. Use as a top dressing in to give plants a boost. A waste product from slaughterhouses it is concentrated by a drying process at moderate temperature leaving a familiar blackish red product. Dried blood has variable nitrogen content usually in the region of 11-14%N. To the gardener the attraction of dried blood is that it is a quickly available source of organic nitrogen which is converted to nitrates by soil bacteria, in which form it is taken up by plants.

Use as a top dressing in Spring or Summer to give plants a boost.


RATE OF APPLICATION:-
Top dressing 25-50gm per square metre during the summer.
